Immersion, live and learn French in your teacher's home
Combine formal lessons and informal ones through cultural activities. Enjoy a homely feeling, let your teacher guide you throughout your language learning experience. From 1 to 2 weeks year round, living in the home of a fully experienced Homestay Tutor. Formal lessons, accommodation, meals, local visits, excursions, yoga, sport, all in the beautiful Bisca Grands Lacs and Arcachon Bay Area. Return home speaking like a native!!
Getting to my house
You can reach my house by taking the train to Ychoux or Bordeaux and hire a car. The nearest airport is Bordeaux. The train station is 11kms away (Ychoux) with direct access to Bordeaux (45 minutes away) and « Le Pays Basque », 1 hour away.
A rich and varied diet
My region is famous for its incredible fresh produce such as oysters, fish and seafood, fruits & vegetables, chicken, cheese and duck…
We are lucky to have quite a few very good restaurants in the area.
Sporting activities
When you come to stay with us, you’ll practice your French in an authentic, low-key atmosphere : we are quite sporty, we like riding our bicycles or our motorbikes, practicing yoga, having a pique nique at the beach or by the lakes.
We love water sports as well.
You’ll have an opportunity to try and practice many sports here! We’ll be happy to lend you a bike and our paddle board.
A typical 1 week immersion
A typical 1 week (7 days, 6 night) immersion includes but is not limited to:
- 15 hours of french courses (usually 3 hours in the morning, but can be flexible)
- 2 meals a day (breakfast, lunch or dinner) that we’ll be happy to share with you unless you’d rather take off on your own.
- Accommodation in a nice and sunny room in my house. We will share the bathroom.
- 2 accompanied excursions or cultural activities.
- Price: 1 300€
– Extra person with classes: 800€
– Extra person without classes : 400€
Your bedroom
Your private room is quiet and sunny since there is a big double window overlooking our cute garden. There is a queen size bed, bedside tables, a desk, a wardrobe. You may also enjoy a coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine. Please note that the bathroom is shared with us.
A pretty and quiet house.
Our house is unpretentious: it’s not big, but it’s comfy and private.
Before this house, I lived in a flat so my house with a large garden is a dream come true for me: with my family, you’ll experience an authentic French immersion and see how the French really live nowadays.
The house has three bedrooms: my bedroom, and two guest rooms, a sunny living room / dining room, with an open kitchen, a separate toilet and one bathroom.
You will love to chill out in the many zen corners of the garden.
You might as well enjoy some relaxing time in our private jacuzzi/hot tub.
